In 2020, The Westerlies officially launch their #BrassrootsActivism initiative in partnership with CP: Next, a Seattle-based organization dedicated to fostering, supporting and amplifying a democracy that is just and inclusive by providing creative on-ramps to civic fieldwork.

Due to COVID-19, all canvassing is on hold, but we are joining CP: Next in their #FightFromHome campaign to impact national voting laws by mobilizing right now.

Our goal is to get officials to enact mail-in voting in every state either through universal mail-in voting or through the expansion of absentee voting. To support the cause, The Westerlies present a monthly Zoom Concert Series to bring artists and activists together to contact representatives across the country.
