Earshot, 2014 so far / by Zubin Hensler

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated for two Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Awards this year! We are currently in the running for Alternative Jazz Group and for Concert of the Year (for our performance with Dave Douglas at this year's Earshot Jazz Festival). It is an honor for us to be included among some truly stellar musicians on the ballot this year.

If you have not yet voted, you can find the ballot here:

There is no registration required, but the ballots are due TOMORROW (Monday, March 3rd), so get your votes in quick!

2014 has already proven to be an exciting year. We started it off with a very successful fundraiser show for our forthcoming album at the Royal Room on January 3rd. It was humbling to witness the magnanimous generosity of our hometown crowd. We truly do appreciate everybody's support. Speaking of our album, Wish the Children Would Come On Home is nearing completion; the final master has been sent to manufacturing! We are planning on doing a big release show in New York, and will be celebrating with an album release party in Seattle at our favorite venue, The Royal Room. We will of course be posting the release party date when we get it nailed down. Following the album release, in August we will be embarking on our first official tour, from Seattle down to Los Angeles. Expect more details on that to come.

That's all for now, hope to see you soon!
